You can also decide class compatibilities to avoid students taking up places in unsuitable classes, which avoids an important pitfall. Another huge plus is the independence given to students in swapping their own classes, and taking up available spaces. Class Swap allows unfilled places to only go online the week before, giving the instructor a chance to fill the place. I think it's great that there are 2 different packages to fit into whether you are a lone teacher or a studio with multiple teachers and more complex needs. I'm using the 'essential package' as I work alone and this is perfect and an affordable option for me. Even the clients that were concerned about not understanding how to use the system, have been able to use it successfully and with ease without my support. I have received some very positive feedback on how easy they are finding it to use, and that it is convenient for them to make their own swaps rather than having to contact me. It has already saved me so much admin time, so I can spend more time on lesson planning and enjoy more free time in the afternoons and evenings. > > **Puntos en contra**: There is really very little to list here. The only thing I have found so far is that I still need to use a paper register as well. I work from village halls in a rural area so I cannot access the internet to use the register on the software until I get home (not Class Swap's fault). If I could access the register on the software whilst at the halls I'm still not sure if I could do without the paper register as I log my lesson plan numbers on it under each date for each class, so that I can refer back to the lesson plans for specific dates should I need to. It literally saves me at least 1 hour every day and even more at the start of term. It has removed the need for clients to contact me - email, text, messenger, what's app, phone - with cancellation of classes and requests for catch up classes. Clients have control of their bookings and can cancel and rebook as necessary. Most clients love it too. They are notified immediately a mat becomes available - which is so much quicker/reliable than waiting for me to check the lists and email them. > > **Puntos en contra**: I felt it was not that intuitive when I started using it and modifications are still made from time to time which throws me. It does take a while to get used to, but customer support is very good at following up queries and sorting out any glitches. Some clients don't seem to want to use it. Out of 90 clients, I probably have to do the online cancellations and class swaps for 5 people who just can't seem to work out how (or be bothered) to use it. > > After the first 2 months everything settled down as I became more familiar with the website and how to navigate it . Now I find it easy to manage my classes/clients on the site. I would not go back to producing my class lists (12 per week) and doing all the class swaps manually again.
