GraphPad is the software you need for statistics

Comentarios: I have used GraphPad to calculate IC50, EC50 in fluorescence-based assays for my scientific project. I've also generated my charts, figures and reports directly to publish in peer-reviewed journals because of their quality. It's an amazing software and it allowed me to transition from Excel and Origin and only use GraphPad now. However it's a bit heavy for my laptop.

Puntos a favor:

GraphPad allows you to have one month free trial with all the features. That's an incredible advantage for people who's learning and selecting their "go-to" statistic software. It's pretty easy to import data and replicates and perform analysis over these replicates. I've tried other software before and GraphPad is way easier to use and complete. Figures are amazing and you can easily add standard deviation, which is a must to in scientific publications.

Contras:

GraphPad tutorial is good and very informative. However, IC50 calculation tutorials could be improved adding real life examples with common absorbance or fluorescence experiments. Also, dose-response curves deserve more information and details about real life examples as well. About the software specifically, I would suggest to make it lighter, or develop a light version. My computer has 8GB RAM and good processor and still takes a lot to generate charts and analysis.

The Gold Standard for Statistical Analysis

Comentarios: GraphPad Prism has been an invaluable tool for me to statistically analyze scientific data from a variety of sources.

It can initially be difficult to understand how to input data correctly.

The worst customer service.

Comentarios: The software is good, but I have been over charged for two license at the same time and they never refunded me. I don't recommend anyone to get involve with graphpad licensing. Don't go for it except your company purchase the license because if they charge you extra, there is not even a phone number to call to solve the issue. You have to wait for weeks to hear back from them, when you are money is actually gone.

Its user friendly but it does what other software do.

Contras:

The software is good but it is over price and has the worst customer service ever without even a phone number to call in case of problem.

Graphpad Prism Review

Comentarios: For researchers, Graphpad Prism is a blessing, as its allows them to analyse large dataset in a systematic and statistical way. It also allows the users to generate appropriate graphs for their data and even provides different features to enhance graph quality.

The ease of usage is the key of Graphpad Prism. It allows to user to analyse their data statistically and generate a suitable graph relevant to dataset.

Contras:

The software allows usage for 30 days free trial. Although it allows different discounts for various categories of customers including students, teachers and industry person but still its not freely accessible.

Pretty good statistical and graphing software package

Comentarios: It's been great. Meets all my needs, don't need anything more. I don't do as much stats as I used to but I'm still a loyal customer and use it whenever I need to run analysis.

I am not that computer savvy so this is much easier for me to load data into and get the results I'm looking for comparted to other stats packages. I like the looks of the program and there are regular updates to make it better

Contras:

Some things are impossible for me to find and require googling/YouTube. I wish there was a better help/tutorial system than what is currently in place. This is infrequent, but I still wish some features were more intuitive. It would make this program perfect for me.

GraphPad Prism saves me every time

It is very easy to use, you can create basic graphics and data tables and easy to understand and explain. The pipeline with all the possible analyses is easy to understand

Contras:

I have trouble when exporting data and graphs to the Apple environment. It doesn't show. For some infor the graphics might be limitated

Comentarios: Absolutely great. the figures are really nice, very good explanations, can't comaplin about almost anything!

AS a researcher who really does not like statistics, even I have started to understand and can use all the things I need in just a few clicks. Also the tutorials are amazing, if once you really are stuck and dont know how to analyze. overall just really the tool that you NEED!!!!

Contras:

I think sometimes its hard to place e.g the legend on the same place in multiple graphs so that they all align when making a figure.

Great for Data Analyzing

It is a steep learning curve, so it takes a minute to learn how to use it, but when you do learn how to use it, it is very useful.

Best software for data analysis

Comentarios: It has helped evolve the way I do data analysis and has provided our team with fantastic figures to use in our publications.

GraphPad is the most user friendly statistical software that I have used. The graphs it produces are very clear and professional with simple methods to modify.

Contras:

Sometimes difficult to display data that is distant from each other on a graph as it shrinks down automatically.

I am not a very demanding used and I found everything I needed in the tool, however I am aware that the software is simplier than other software programs.

Excellent software for statistical analysis and producing data-driven graphs

Comentarios: GraphPad Prism has been of particular benefit for us when preparing scientific publications, it's easy to use for interpreting/analysing and graphing raw data. It's likely the most intuitive of the statistical and graphing programmes that I have used. I would recommend.

The software has a sleek-easy to use interface and gives users guided samples of how to organise and arrange certain types of data. Lots of options for displaying and analysing data in a manner that are suitable for peer-reviewed publication. It also updates graphs stored in PowerPoint files automatically.

Contras:

Occasionally when using big data sets that software can end up crashing which can be frustrating. In these instances alternative programmes such as R may be a better bet.

Comprehensive Variant of Excel

It had various data set ups that wouldn't be automatically formed if you were just using excel or google sheets. It includes statistical analysis as well as a variety of visual formats to display said data from bar graphs to box plots, etc.

Contras:

There is no tutorial when downloading the software. There is very little help from outside sources. It is best learned from someone already using the system

The ability to easily generate visual pleasing graphs, and perform simple statistical tests. The best feature is the capability of the software to quickly make the same type of graph uniform (color schemes, formatting labels, axis range, and etc.).

Contras:

GraphPad provides basic statistical analysis, so for researchers wanting to perform more specialized and specific statistical tests, they will have to use statistical tests with other software. Additionally, GraphPad requires the user to format the data in a very specific way for certain types of graphs.

Great software for plotting and data visualization

I like how you can visualize data in several ways using one data set. Also, you can run multiple analyses on the data and get several results of interest.

Contras:

It would be nice if there were prompts during the analyses section where the users were made aware about the kind of analysis and pre-lying assumptions associated with the analyis.

I do more beautiful graphs, with less time, using GraphPad Prism

Comentarios: I have done all my scientific illustrations using Graphs that I build in GraphPad Prism. The wide range of options and representations allows me to explore many different ways to present my work, and this is amazing!

Puntos a favor:

I started using Prism after some years working with other Graph software such as SigmaPlot and Origin. After building my first graph, what I liked most was the intuitive way of the software, making graph building something more fun than boring. The layout is easy to understand, and also the tutorials are very explanatory. It took me 5 minutes to build a graph.

Contras:

I think the price could be better. I understand the necessity for a charge, however, most of the people over the world are not able to afford it. I believe an incentive policy for low-income countries with little research money would be exceptional.

Needed if you intend to publish anything

Absolutely stunning graphics for plots and extremely intuitive to use (mathematically and visually). An absolute must for anyone working on publishable content. Best value for a piece of software you will ever find.

Contras:

I have nothing negative to say about this product.

GraphPad Prism

Very easy to use with great online support and tutorials. Pretty intuitive and you can find what you're looking for. The graphs it produces are very clean and the layouts are nice to create multi-panel figures.

Contras:

The ANOVA analysis doesn't assign groups, just tells you if they're significant/different.

GraphPad Prism is my go to software for publication ready graphs.

I like the fact that there are several model statistical analysis that one can follow for their analysis. Secondly, there are very good tutorials from the developers on some basics statistics and how to run them in prism as well.

Contras:

The software is a bit pricy. Otherwise, it is a great tool for all who present a lot of graphs for their publications.

Comentarios: Beautiful graphs that are publication quality

I love the automatic graphing functions (non-linear regression) that are within a click. Takes guess-work and manual graphing out of the equation.

Contras:

There seems to be a bug that crashes the software when you copy and paste from microsoft excel. It doesn't happen immediately, but usually happens when you're performing the "magic function" to match your graph to the format of another graph. They really need to work out this bug.

Essential to plot data and statistically analyze them

It ia easy to enter and analyze data. Data can be represented in multiple ways. Representation have a very good quality and can be customized.

Contras:

There are so much functionalities that it's hard to know all of them.

Graphpad makes my life so much easier, it's so easy to just plug in data and have your result fast.

Comentarios: It has not only saved me time, it has also saved me from doing the wrong statistical test a few times since it kind of asks you questions based on what your data look like. Multiple times I have thought I was doing something right and when I went to analyze the data I realized there was a better option thanks to Graphpad Prism.

Puntos a favor:

The ability to run basically any statistical test with the click of a few buttons. Also, many of the nuances and sub-tests of certain tests are actually explained next to the option to select them. That is fantastic since it is impossible to know every little fact about every test.

Contras:

The fact that for some 2-way ANOVAs you need to transpose your data from columns into rows. It's a bit annoying and I can sometimes get confused looking at my data in a new layout.

Customer Service Has Disrupted My Ability to Work

Comentarios: This software desperately needs a direct phone line to assist in troubleshooting issues. I have been going back and fourth with different customer service representatives via email for 3 weeks with no resolution to date. This is extremely frustrating to not be able to use the software needed to perform my job due to the lack of communication/access to customer service.
