Lo mejor del Monitoreo con OPMANAGER

Comentarios: Me encanta la herramienta por que es un gran apoyo en la administracion de infraestructura y sobretodo para asegurar el buen funcionamiento y tener un rapido tiempo de respuesta ante una falla.

Puntos a favor:

Es una herramienta muy amigable en el manejo mediante la interfaz grafica, adicional puedo monitorear varios dispositivos como server, url´s, router, firewalls, etc. y configurar los umbrales de alertamiento de acuerdo a mis necesidades, las alertas me llegan sin problema y adicional es muy actual y tiene mucha seguridad informatica

Contras:

La actividad que se realiza por parte del administrador solo se puede ver en logs y no mediante una interfaz grafica.

Alternativas consideradas: AppDynamics

Razones para elegir ManageEngine OpManager: Dynatrace Por el alto costo/beneficio ademas no es muy amigable y Nagios por la seguridad informatica ya que es una herramienta de codigo abierto ademas no es muy amigable

Software anterior: Dynatrace y Nagios Log Server

Razones para cambiar a ManageEngine OpManager: Appdynamic tiene un alto costo y me daba mas beneficios aunque tambien ocupa mas infraestructura por lo que yo necesito se adecuo muy bien opmanager.

ManageEngine OpManager

Comentarios: el monitoreos de la red y los servidores es mas factible, podemos recibir notificaciones por varias vías, y se disminuyeron los fallos de sistemas.

Puntos a favor:

El fácil manejo de las credenciales para añadir los dispositivos y añadirle los monitores correspondiente, la configuración de las alertas tienes muchas alternativa para hacerte saber que algo anda mal.

Contras:

todo perfecto por el momento con el sistema.

OpManager is a nice Network Monitoring Tool.

Comentarios: I have been using the product for 1 year. It gives good alarms and allows me to do good monitoring in the network structure.

Alarm triggering in the product and headmap in dashboards are very nice. It can monitor everything with SNMP.

Contras:

Dashboards and mapping should be improved.

Comentarios: We love the fact that product has always been enriched upon, with new features and functionalities. Adore pro-active support from ME OpsManager support team. They do lots of seminar as well roadshows, so user engagement is always the top priority of ME OpsManager team.

3d Dashboard is very much useful in diagnosing, as well prior Onsite engineer visit in Datacentre; Admire custom monitoring useful for monitoring any Device type, be it Storage, Network appliance; APM can be enabled as an Add-on, same goes for NCM helps in bringing Automation across Network appliances; Firewall management, IPAM, SPAM, Deep packet analysis can be enabled, based on Individual organization requirement; Very easy to setup and configure in no time; Don't require consultants to setup. Not to mention, Individual components of OpManager such as NCM, FWA, APM can be utilize separately as a standalone solution in their own. That way, organization can pick and choose the modules, per their requirement.

Contras:

Nothing at the moment. Our varied clients have taken extensive benefit of custom monitoring, which enables monitoring of any Appliance as long they can be reached via SNMP.

Razones para elegir ManageEngine OpManager: Our clients don't want to engage in 3 months Installation of OpsBridge, which becomes quite expensive over the time. OpsManager, on the other hand doesn't require expensive consultants for Implementation & Configuration.

Razones para cambiar a ManageEngine OpManager: Our varied client needs are, simplified UI, single pane of glassnot only for Server/Network/APM monitoring. But, should be flexible to manage firewalls, IPAM, SPAM, which other competitors simply cannot offer.

Awesome dashboard features,accurate and simple.

Comentarios: Overall it is a pretty good product,satisfactory performance for medium level customers,not really good for data oriented researchers.

Dashboard holds the key for OPManager as compared to other tools,this has an informative dashboard.It is user-friendly also.First configurations are pretty easy to handle.

Contras:

It is not highly data oriented when compared to PRTG and observium,not all server equipments can be configured with OP manager.

Opmanger your first stop network monitoring tool

Comentarios: We have had a great experience working with Opmanager which is a strong, stable and user friendly.

Puntos a favor:

User friendly interface and Dashboard Easy of setup and use. Features like server, VM, switch, router, firewall, printer monitoring. Option to add add-ins like APM, NCM. Good and strong support.

Contras:

We have not found any Cons. Manage engine has a strong support team which resolves our issues.

Alternativas consideradas: PRTG Enterprise Monitor y Network Performance Monitor

I highly recommend OpManager for any network monitoring and performance

2FA is not streamlined. Sometimes the OTP delays locking you out of the system

Great dashboard layout, all views are in on place and you can monitor and see just what you want and not a bunch of items you don't need.

Contras:

My only issue is IP management is not the best, it shows what is used or free but does not give details of what is connected.

Works well and not too expensive.

Price, works well. Have used some of their other products and find them to be a good value.

Contras:

Not sure if I have a MIB installed/working properly to get the most out of it. Also when trying to configure some devices using snmpv3 I don't get a helpful error when the configuration is somehow incorrect. Wish it had more integrations/add-ons with it like MS updates management.

OpManager is one of the best in the industry

OpManager provides deep network monitoring, advanced alerting capabilities and providing reporting in a GUI format that's easily readable. We really love the alerting features for our network techs, it provides near real time notifications that a device or application is not responding.

Contras:

The upgrade process is a little cumbersome but once you've done a couple, it's a breeze. The upgrade process is consistent across all ManageEngine products.

Comentarios: Very good in network management , expcially switches or router interface utilization,
Alert notification while any interface down etc

Contras:

Still there is limitation to detect automatically while acquire a network device-For example SonicWALL firewall , which not getting exact modem during aquistion

Single console for monitoring Servers, Database, Middleware infrastructure. Easy to use and provide insight of the environment and help to reduce spending time in RCA.Provide different modes of Notification services like Email, SMS, Automated ticketing and forwarding alerts to other Event Management product like Netcool etc as a means of SNMP Traps. Easy to configure and enable notifications.

Contras:

CXO dashboards not available to the customer expectations.
